An original work by Portland's Faultline Ensemble, aiming to increase health access and local resiliency through theater. Set during a fictional disaster in Portland, Oregon, Holding onto the Sky plunges characters into a high-stakes debate about emergency medical support, health access, and oppression and prejudice within our healthcare systems. This work is an effort to reveal the flaws in our broken healthcare system, imagine new possibilities for networks of care, and highlight the resiliency already present in our local community.
